  • Principles of Design in the Home Landscape

    Join us this month while we hear from Lynn Swanson, North Carolina Certified Plant Professional and Landscape Designer. By using the principles of design, Lynn will provide tips and tricks on how to start a new landscape or renovate an old one. Although now retired, Lynn still enjoys getting her hands dirty in her woodland garden and maintaining the Japanese maple collection she enjoys with her husband, Jim. She also stays busy volunteering at Joslin Garden and at the Raulston Arboretum.

    WHEN: Please plan to arrive at 10:30am to check in, find a seat and mingle with fellow RGC members. Meeting begins promptly at 11am.

    FEES:

    $26 to attend + catered lunch

    $10 to attend (no lunch)

    You will have the option to purchase a catered lunch below.

    Payments are encouraged to be made ahead of time, however we will accept cash or credit card the day of the meeting. Beginning in 2026, CHECKS WILL NO LONGER BE ACCEPTED AS A FORM OF PAYMENT FOR LUNCHEON MEETINGS. 

    ONLY THOSE REGISTERED WILL BE SERVED LUNCH. Due to circumstances beyond our control, we can no longer provide lunch for walk-in members or guests.

    There will be a small convenience fee if a credit card is used

    PLEASE ENSURE THAT YOU CAREFULLY READ AND UNDERSTAND ALL LUNCH DESCRIPTIONS before making your selection, as substitutions will no longer be accomodated after registration closes. We are happy to offer several different lunch options, but please double check and confirm your choice BEFORE you complete your registration.

    Homemade desserts will also be available during the meeting. While the University Club allows us to bring our own desserts, we are NOT allowed to bring any other food or beverages to the meeting due to the State Health Code. It is not recommended to consume these desserts if you are allergy-sensitive. Thank you to those who volunteered this month to bake.

    DEADLINE TO REGISTER AND/OR CANCEL IS THURSDAY, FEBRUARY 26TH. Per our registration policy, if cancellation occurs after the deadline date or you do not show up to the meeting, attendee is responsible for cost of lunch and/or attendance fee.
